2. Increase test pressure up to the rated pressure at maximum disign temperature and stabilise this condition for 1 hour(isolate test fluid from test rig).
3. Decrease test temperature until ambient temperature.
4. Increase test temperature to maximum design temperature at a rate 100℃(212℉) per hour and stabilise the reached test situation for 1 hour.
5. Repeat step 3.
6. Repeat step 4 and step 5 for 2 times and record the pressure drop during the final cycle.

Recordings :

Acceptance criteria :
HOBT-1
Pressure where gasket blowout occurs shall be >1.5 x maximum pressure at maximum design temperature.
HOBT-2
Temperature where gasket blowout occurs shall be >290℃(550℉)

7)Aged Tensile Relaxation Screening(ATRS)

Purpose :
To determine the resistance against oxidation.

Test condition :
Aging at 288℃(550.4℉) for 96 hours.

Procedure :
Test shall be carride out in accordance with TTRL.

Recordings:
Mechanical load retention (Qpr), tensile quality measure (Qpx) and conbined parameter (Qp).

Acceptance criteria :
Qp should be >1.0 (informative).

8) Medium Resistance Test

Purpose :
To verify the gasket compatibility with various chemicals.

Procedure :
Chemical resistance of non-metallic materials, including elastomers, shall be determined in accordance with ASTM C 581.

Recordings :
Recordings shall be in accordance with ASTM C 581.

Acceptance criteria :
Not applicable (informative).

9)Glue Identification

This is not a test as such, but covers only a verification of the glue (or adhesive) type.
The brand name and manufacturer's certificate shall be supplied to the Principal.
The performance of the glue under any operating condition will be verified during the operational test as specified in clause 3.3.

SSI 810 IX Seal Ring

SSI 810 IX Seal Ring IX seal ring   Norsok Flange and IX seal ring    How the NCF5 works   The IX Seal-rings are designed and used where the NORSOK CFC (Compact Flange Connections) are in use. The rings come in fore different kinds of steel and are coated with PTFE in varying colors in order to distinguish between them. Standard identification NORSOK STANDARD L-005 (NCF5). Typical seal ring materials The NCF5 uses a steel seal ring (IX). Typical minimum yield stress and ultimate stress for the seal ring material is 300 MPa and 360 MPa, respectively, in order to allow for reasonably elastic springback. Lower strength may be used, but is not recommended. The user is responsible for selecting a seal ring material which is suitable for the service med...
